Jerry L. Durm, age 65 of Alliance, died Tuesday March 29, 2005 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1939 in Alliance, Ohio to Virgil and Flora (Salsbury) Durm Riffle and was a lifelong resident.
Jerry graduated from Alliance High School and worked as a mechanical engineer and designer for Fisher and Associates in Cleveland. He also worked as a sales rep for Western Southern Life Insurance Company, and later was employed by Wayne Dog Food in Sebring.
He was the Past Commander of the D.A.V. Chapter 50, treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Chapter 2174, and member of the Memorial Day Committee.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl (Miller) Durm, whom he married May 28, 1966, one son, Brian S. Durm of Alliance, one daughter, Brenda (Jeffery) Keesecker of Buckhannon, West Virginia, five grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Ben, Joseph and Danielle, one sister, Virginia Wilkinson of Alliance, two brothers, Wilber (Carol) Durm of Alliance, and Ronnie (Korki) Durm of Canton, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. D.A.V. Services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
