Gerald "Jerry" VanCamp, age 70 of Louisville, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005.
He was born March 10, 1935 in Canton, Ohio to Bruce and Doris (Slabaugh) VanCamp.
Mr. VanCamp graduated from Marlboro High School and was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills, Ohio, retiring after forty years of service.
He was a former member of Marlboro Christian Church and member of the UAW, Local 420.
Jerry's life was centered around his family.
Survivors include his wife, Joan (Baum) VanCamp, whom he married Aug. 21, 1954, four daughters, Kathy (Greg) Villanova, of Uniontown, Lori (Mike) Wyand of Atlanta, Ga., Julie (Randy) Halverstadt of Atlanta, Ga., and Karen (Jeff) Markham of Louisville; two sons, Steve VanCamp of Alliance, and Craig VanCamp of Massillon; thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandson; two brothers, Dale VanCamp of DeWitt, Arkansas and Jack VanCamp of Alliance; one sister, Madeline; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ronald.
Private family services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with private family visitation one half-hour prior. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
