Jessie D. Hoskins, age 85, of Alliance, died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mrs. Hoskins was born January 14, 1922 in Erwin, Tennessee to Fate and Girtha E. (Cutshall) Shelton and was resident of Alliance since 1949.
Jessie attended Alliance High School and was a member of Alliance Baptist Temple for over 50 years and AARP # 2630.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell "Sam" Hoskins of North Georgetown, OH whom she married August 5, 1992; step-daughters, Patricia Doringo of Uniontown, OH and Janice (Larry) Swartz of Norton, OH ; six step-grandchildren; 19 step- great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; sister Dolly Hardin of Sebring; two nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Edgar Berry, four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Payne officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, TN.
