Jessie V. Gurgle, age 87, of DeLand, Florida, died at 2:15 a.m. June 20, 2004 at the Alliance Community Nursing Home in DeLand, Florida.
Mrs. Gurgle was born February 15, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio to Thomas and Emma (Hoopes) Stackhouse.
A 1935 graduate of Alliance High School, Mrs. Gurgle also graduated from Canton Business College in 1937.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, for more than 60 years.
Survivors include one daughter Linda Lashock of Florida, two granddaughters of Florida, one great grandson of Florida, and one son John Gurgle III of Virginia, three granddaughters and one grandson of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Gurgle Jr., whom she married Dec. 25, 1949, and who died July 28, 2000, three sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel, with Rev. David Hostetler officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
