Joan Carol Biery

Joan Carol Biery, age 76, of Alliance, passed away at 3:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
She was born May 13, 1940 in Ravenna to Willis C. Biery and Virginia (Biery) Stuart.
Joan graduated from Marlboro High School, was a dental assistant for Dr. Boyce for seven years, and retired after 32 years from the Hoover Company.
She was a lifetime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Joan sang in the choir for over 60 years, chaired the funeral dinner committee in addition to other committees.
Joan was an active member of the Alliance Senior Center, where she sang in the choir; member of Marlboro Women's Club; Aldersgate Service Club; Marlboro Alumni Association; and participated in the Alliance Bowling League for many years.
Joan is survived by her brother, Paul (Joan) Biery of Euclid; sister, Mary Lou (Robert) Muckley of Marlboro; stepbrother, Neil (Barbara) Stuart of Pleasanton, California; stepsister, Karol (Mike) Stuart-Harter of Fresno, California; special nephews, Todd (Marty) Muckley of Doylestown and Tim (Elizabeth) Muckley of Hartville; nieces, Michelle (Scott) McCormick of Finley, Anne (Filey-deceased) Mazon of Chicago, Illinois, and Sorrenta Stuart of Walnut Creek, California; nephews, Ray Biery of Florida, Michael Miller of Missouri; numerous grandnieces and nephews, especially Elijah, Maxwell and Gabrielle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Manner officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be held at Marlboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11394 Edison St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
