Joanne R. Roberts

Joanne R. Roberts, age 90, passed away on October 14, 2024. 

She was born on June 24, 1934, in Alliance, to Ellis L. and Mamie (Critchfield) Kannal.

Joanne attended Alliance High School. She worked as an assembler for the Genie Company for 34 years until her retirement. Joanne was a member of First Christian Church and Lisbon Baptist Temple. 

She enjoyed working in her yard, doing crossword puzzles, and crafting wreaths, decorated baskets and bird cage displays. More than anything, Joanne loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Rosann (David) Berlin, Marcia McCabe, Steven (Rachel) Bailey, Brad Bailey, and Angela (Mark) Currier; grandchildren, David (Stacey Springer) Berlin, Julie (Harry) Gordon, Megan (Michael Polverine) Berlin, Zachary Currier, Elijah Currier, Stacy (Paul) Weber, Stephanie (Matt) Higginbotham, Jody (Matt) Phillips, Joey Bailey, Barry (Jennifer) Bailey Jr., Rusty (Dion) Deprill, Corey (Angela) Bailey, John McCabe, and Mark McCabe; many great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Read; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Lily, and cat, Missy. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Roberts; son, Barry Bailey; grandson, Brad Bailey Jr.; son-in-law, Jim McCabe; sisters, Beverly Snyder and Janet Leeson; and brothers-in-law, Norm Reed, James Snyder, and Raymond Leeson.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
