John Dewayne Cox

John Dewayne Cox, age 61, of Alliance, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at home.

He was born December 27, 1958, in Spruce Pine, NC to John H. and Marie H. (Helsel) Cox.

A 1977 graduate of Marlington High School, John was employed at Best Buy Geek Squad and Rockwell Automation in Twinsburg.

John loved building Hot Rods, playing poker, looking at the stars and UFO’s.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Cox; wife, Diann Cox; two sisters, Kathy Cox, and Teresa Cox; brother, Robert John Cox; nephews, Jeremy Cox, and Brandon Cox; niece, Kayla Cox; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his father; grandparents Earl M. and Helen M. Helsel, and grandmother Mae Cox Autry.

A private graveside service will be held at Hartzell Cemetery, Thursday May 7, 2020. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Hospice for all the great care they have provided over the past 11 years.
