John C. Donohoe, age 79 of Alliance, died at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday October 19, 2004 at McCrea Manor.
He was born July 12, 1925 in Langeloth, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Garnett (Francis) Donohoe and lived in the Alliance area most of his life.
Mr. Donohoe attended Alliance schools and worked in maintenance at Universal Co-Op, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the D.A.V. and the North Georgetown American Legion, and was a veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife Sarah J. (Shaffer) Donohoe, whom he married Dec. 8, 1946, two daughters Karen S. Buchanan of Alliance, and Carol Ross of Hollywood, Maryland, two granddaughters three great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, one brother Glen Donohoe of Alliance, and six sisters, Jessie McGaffic, Edna Donohoe, Elizabeth Salsberry and Rose Peters, all of Alliance, Beverly Thomas of Akron, Ohio and Dorothy Barringer of Marietta, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Samuel Donohoe Jr. and two sisters Mary Baker, and Beatrice Bolton.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
