John William Good Sr., age 72, of Alliance, died at 8:49 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011, at his home.
He was born August 10, 1939, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Rusell E. and Buelah F. (Campbell) Good and has resided in the Alliance area since 1956.
John attended Knox Local Schools in N. Georgetown and was employed as an auto worker at Chrysler-Twinsburg until his retiring after 30 years of service. He was an executive life member of the National Rifle Association and Union Local 122 in Twinsburg. He enjoyed classic cars, hunting and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. (Wagner) Good, of Alliance, whom he married May 17, 1986; daughters, Debra Gorfi of Sebring, Catherine (Jack) Morris of Alliance and Tina M. (Woody) Wood of North Carolina; son, John W. Good Jr. of New Hampshire; step-son, Kenneth (Karen) Butler of Alliance; granddaughters, Jamie, Jennifer, and Tiffany; grandson, Timmy Walters; two great-grandchildren, Adian and Brienna; seven step-grandchildren, Paul, Kenneth Jr. and Kevin Butler, Kendra Butler, Marla Albert, and Stacey and Lane Schriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
