John H Knipp

John H. Knipp, age 96, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.

He was born on June 11, 1926 in Pedro, OH to William and Minta Lou (Barker) Knipp.

John served his country in the United States Army.  He worked at Royal China for many years as a cup handler.  He also was a member of Vine Street United Methodist Church.

John loved watching Cleveland sports, fixing things and traveling with friends.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family fishing and camping.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 76 years, Dolores (Gulling) Knipp; daughter, Darlene Aberegg; grandchildren, David Aberegg, Danielle (Joe) Fullerton, Deanna Aberegg; great-grandchildren, Briana, Shannon, Olivia, Jasen, Erik Aberegg and Makayla Korosy and Wayne Korosy Jr.; great-great grandchildren, Lillian Clayton, Stanley Clayton IV; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings,  Clifford Knipp, Dempsey Knipp, Jess Knipp, Clara Walters, Charlie Knipp, Carrie Payton, Susie Bryant, Billie Knipp and Jack Knipp.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 17.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. John will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park.
