John Kramer, age 85 of Alliance, died at 9:20 p.m. August 10, 2003 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born in Alliance, Ohio on November 26, 1917 to Andrew and Magdalena (Schmidt) Kramer.
Mr. Kramer worked as a machine operator at B&W Tubular Products in Alliance, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Alliance Senior Center, United Steelworker's Retiree's Club, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 6730 in Sebring. Mr. Kramer served in the U.S. Army during WWII, with the 82nd Airborne Division.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy M. (Randolph) Kramer, of Alliance, two daughters, Patricia Ann Vence of Alliance, and Karen Louise Firestone of Delray Beach, Fla, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Eva Ziegler of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Andrew, Joseph and Paul Kramer, and one sister Anna Gfeller.
Burial will be in Fairmount Memorial Park.
