John C. Onaitis age 35 of Alliance died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday December 9, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
John was born February 20, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles and Joyce (Hagan) Onaitis, and lived in Alliance for the past 30 years.
He graduated from Marlington High School and Alliance Vocational Technology, and attended Akron University.
John graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A contract engineer for Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton, John was also a self-employed cabinetmaker and designer.
He was a member of the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association.
He is survived by his parents Charles and Joyce Onaitis of Easton Pennsylvania, and formerly of Alliance, his paternal great-grandfather, Leo P. Onaitis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and formerly of Alliance, one sister Victoria (Andy) Huey of West Mansfield, Ohio and two nieces Katrina and Colleen Huey.
