John E. Ormiston

John E. Ormiston, age 76, of Smith Township passed away on October 11, 2021.

He was born on July 25, 1945 in Kane, PA to Elmer C. and Florence (Lorenzo) Ormiston.

John worked for American Steel for 30 years until his retirement on February 1, 2000. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam. John enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hunting and riding his Harley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana, whom he married on January 31, 2000; his step-daughters, Sabrina Helsel of Watkinsville, GA, Tammy (Buddy) Hallett of Sebring, and Rosetta Dalesandro of Akron; step-sons, Richard Kuhaneck and Ray (Michelle) Kuhaneck both of Alliance; special great-granddaughter, Kaylee Fetty of Canton; twelve step-grandchildren; twenty-four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janice, Mary and Teresa; brothers, Denver, Lesly and Elmer Jr; and step-grandson, Brenden.
