John Louis Priselac, age 92, of Alliance, passed away at his home at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
He was born June 18, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio to Josip and Kata (Yagusich) Priselac.
John graduated from Alliance High School and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago Illinois.
He was employed as a television technician with Zenith from 1955 – 1993.
John served with the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper from 1949 – 1951, including a tour of duty in Korea.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, John was a member of the C.C. Weybrecht American Legion Post 166, in Alliance, the Reed Miller V.F.W. Post 3297 in Delaware, Ohio, the Korean War Veteran Chapter 138 in Akron, Ohio, the Rakkasans 187th Airborne Buckeye Chapter.
John was also a member of the Canton Senior Golf League for eighteen years, and served on the board of directors. He also enjoyed helping with bingo at the American Legion.
He will be loved and missed by his family, including his wife, Diana (Peloso) Priselac, whom he married January 16, 1955, sisters, Mary Binion of Beloit, and Margaret Beardsley of Cameron Park, California, brothers, Edward (Sidney) Priselac of Merrett Island, Florida, and Albert (Judy) Priselac of Friendswood, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, four infant sons, and siblings, Steve, Anne, Joseph, George Priselac, and Barbara Scovil, niece, Teresa Ann Priselac, and nephew, Carson Bonar.
Services will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday November 3 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Aultman/Alliance Hospice.
