John R. Reeve, age 82, of Alliance, formerly of Sebring, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Canterbury Villa.
He was born March 25, 1927, in East Canton, Ohio to John R. and Grace (Wolf) Reeve and was a lifelong resident of Mahoning and Stark Counties.
John was the former owner and operator of the J & L Service Station in Sebring. He was a member of the Sebring Chapter of the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Mrs. Jean (Jim) Martin of Canton; and a step-brother, George Reeve of De Land, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucinda C. (Lambert) Reeve, whom he married July 17, 1958 and who died in 1987; a sister, Geraldine Voss; and a step-sister, Helen Severence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna, Ohio.
