John Stanley Scott

John Stanley Scott, age 86, of Alliance passed away at 9:07 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Altercare of Alliance.
He was born August 21, 1929, in Rinard Mills, Ohio, to James Tony and Matilda Jane (Graham) Scott and came to Alliance in 1949.
A graduate of Graysville High School, John was employed at Transue and Williams Stamping Department for forty years.
He was an avid fisherman and bowled for many years. He loved going to Mountaineer with his wife and loved to play Euchre (and cheat) with the family.
John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris (Rinard) Scott whom he married May 14, 1949; three daughters, Linda (the late Wayne) Beatty of Alliance, Susan (Paul) Evans of North Carolina and Diana (John) James of Beloit; grandchildren John (Carlos) Beatty, Jaime (Tim) Raber, Kelly (Larry) Edwards, Jimmie Campbell, Jessie (Jessica) Campbell, Jeremiah James, Jonathon James and Ashley James; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Phillips, Caiden Raber, Cayla Raber, Patrick Toussaint, Trinity Campbell and Abagail Campbell.
Preceding him in death were his sisters, Donna Mae Dougherty, Janet Griffin, Beryl Lisk and Zetta Hill; and two brothers, Chauncey Scott and Ralph Scott.
A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at Fairmount Memorial Park with interment to follow.
