John Stanley

John J. Stanley, age 75 of Florence, Kentucky, died at his home at 12:12 a.m. April 1, 2005.
He was born June 26, 1929 in Alliance, to Garland and Bernice (Hoover) Stanley.
A graduate of Alliance High School, and the Cincinnati Art Academy, he worked as an Artist. He was a treasured Cincinnati Fine Artist.
Survivors include, two daughters, Bernice Whiting of Covington, Kentucky, and Cynthia Moore of Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; a brother Tom Stanley of Alliance; four sisters Shirley Specht, Larilla Snode both of Alliance, Peggy Diehl of Florida and Nancey Barclay of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Ruth Anna Elizabeth (Bores), who died in 1987 and a sister Annabell.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday April 7, 2005 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
