John Stauffenger

John Stauffenger, age 89, passed away on August 14, 2023.

He was born on June 11, 1934, in Alliance, to Fred and Sylvia (Schmied) Stauffenger.

John graduated from Alliance High School in 1952. He was the owner and operator of Aid Pest Control and Norge Village Cleaners and Laundry. John served honorably in the United States Navy in the Korean War on the USS SaiPan and was stationed in Brazil for a year.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dawn (Dregich) Stauffenger; son, John Stauffenger Jr.; step-daughters, Jennifer Chambers and Lauren Slagle; four grandchildren; brother, Fred (Gail) Stauffenger; sister, Sandra Stauffenger; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Kathy June; and his sister, Nancy Stauffenger.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, August 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
