John G. Walker, 85, of Limaville, passed away at 2:10 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Alliance Community Care Center.
He was born September 20, 1929, in Cadiz, Ohio, to John Rusk and Mildred (Goedel) Walker.
John was an Inspector at Ford Motor Company retiring after 39½ years of service. He was a member of the PBA Bowling Tour from 1969-1971, bowling 23 perfect games. He was also inducted into the Canton Bowling Hall of Fame.
He enjoyed searching for treasures with his metal detector for over 50 years. John and his wife, Myrna, were passionate antique collectors and dealers.
Survivors include his children, John David Walker of Washington State, Michele Walker of Canton and Robert Dean Walker of Kentucky; grandchildren, Clint Walker and Zachariah Wartman; step-children, Karen (Stephen) Anhouse of Highlands Ranch, CO; David Short, of Bethal Park, PA, and Pamela Short of Pittsburgh, PA; and step-grandchildren, Jamie and Taylor Anhouse.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Myrna S. Walker, whom he married June 25, 1983 and who died June 24, 2012.
A Private family service will be held at a later date.
