John Werbung

John Werbung, age 94 of Alliance passed away at his home at 3:34 a.m. January 17, 2009 after a short illness.
He was born Aug. 27, 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Paul and Julia (Pak) Werbung.
Mr. Werbung worked in the Civilian Conservation Corp. in California in the early 1930's and retired from Transue and Williams as a Quality Control Manager of the Forging Division in 1979.
John loved gardening, woodworking and traveling with his family.
Survivors include his daughter, JoAnn Werbung of Alliance; and brothers, Joseph Werbung of Sebring, and Robert (Betty) Werbung of Granbury, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy (Allen) Werbung, who died Jan. 18, 1999, brothers, Paul, Charles and William, and sisters, Anne Kerns and Rose Richards.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
