John K. White, age 57, of North Canton, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010.
He was born May 5, 1952 in Alliance, Ohio to John William and Louise Alice (Powell) White.
John graduated from Alliance High School and Walsh University and worked as an accountant. He loved music and spending time with his grandchildren. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and tending his wildflowers. He spent many happy hours in his yard feeding the squirrels and birds.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sandra L. (Humbert) White, whom he married July 24, 1993; daughter, Deanna White of Norton; son, John D. White of Akron; step-daughters, Shauna (Mike) Azar of Charles Town, West Virginia and Shari (Mike) Helton of Chipley, Florida; four grandchildren; two sisters, Victoria (James) Dugan of Alliance and Diana (Jerry) Cox of Louisville; one brother, Thomas (Kathleen) White of Fairlawn; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Gertrude Humbert of Akron; best friends, Dennis (Cheryl) Rihn of Jackson and Michael (Helen) Metzger of Piqua; and all his beloved pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marie Powell, and great-nephew, Jacob Dugan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Innerst officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
