John White

John W. White age 79 of Louisville, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday May 11, 2004 at St. Luke's Lutheran Home in North Canton.
He was born April 6, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio to Thomas and Victoria (White) Martin and was raised by John J. and Victoria White.
Mr. White graduated in 1942 from Struthers High School, and attended Mount Union College. He retired in 1992 as the Owner and Operator of White Insurance Agency.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. White served in the South Pacific during WWII.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7490, American Legion Post 0548 of Louisville, Eagles in Louisville, Louisville Senior Center, and was a Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his children; Victoria (James) Dugan of Alliance, John (Sandra) White of North Canton, Thomas (Kathy) White of Fairlawn, and Diana (Jerry) Cox of Louisville, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother John White, four sisters, Monica Manley, Mary Gazdik, Frances Mollenkopf, and Anna Thorne, and one great-grandson, Jacob Dugan.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memorial Park Chapel. Friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
