Jonda L. Whitt

Jonda Lou Whitt, age 70, of Alliance, passed away at 12:37 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1945, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Frank and Gladys (Tabor) DeBord.
Jonda was a member of the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, cooking, reading and helping other people.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Whitt, whom she married September 26, 1964; and siblings, Eual DeBord of Kentucky, Betty Lawless, Virginia Plunkett, Shirley Gordon, Bobby DeBord, and Roger DeBord, all of Zenia, Ohio; and Wanda (Sue) Turkson of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy DeBord and sister, Vivian Rice.
Services will be at held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Holbrook officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, and one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
