Joseph C. Castellucci, age 74, of Alliance, passed away at 6:12 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born July 23, 1939 in Alliance, Ohio to Constantine and Catherine (Pandin) Castellucci.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Joe worked for the Canteen Corporation, B&W Research, and later for Akron- Metropolitan Housing.
Joe was a Paratrooper in the U. S. Army 82 Airborne, and member of Christ United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
He was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed gardening, and feeding the birds and cats. Joe was a true handyman and mechanic, working on cars and fixing whatever needed fixed. He was an avid reader, and most importantly, loved his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Saundra (Patterson) Castellucci, whom he married September 8, 1962, sons, Christopher (Jody) Castellucci, of St Joseph, Missouri, and Benjamin (Stacey) Castellucci, of Wooster, three granddaughters, Isabelle, Cierra, and Abigail; sister, Margaret Delgatto of Canton, sister-in-law, Marianne Castellucci of Alliance; mother-in-law, Nancy Jane Patterson of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant daughter, Cathi Jo; and brothers, Frank and George.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Martin officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
