Mr. Joseph Te Dailey, 64, made his transition and went to his eternal rest on Friday August 17, 2012 at 4:05 p.m.
Joseph was born August 21, 1947, to the union of Willie Mae (Brown) and Joseph Te Dailey Sr. in Alliance, OH. After graduating from Alliance High School in 1965, Joseph entered the US Army where he served in Vietnam as a machine gunner and was honorably discharged in 1968.
Joseph worked briefly at American Steel and Ravenna Arsenal before working for 48 Insulation until it closed. He then worked at P.C.C. Airfoils and was also a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Earlene Dailey, nee Thurmond of the home. His three children: Jolean LaShelle Dailey, Justin Earl Dailey and Talitha Elaine Dailey, all of Alliance; two grandchildren, Cainin and Stacia Jones, also of Alliance; six sisters, June Jefferson, nee Dailey, Sandra Snodgrass, nee Dailey, Wilma Roach, Geneva Williams, Francella Williams, all of Alliance; and Elizabeth (Betty) Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Tyson (Tara) Dailey of Batavia, Ohio and William (Sadie) Williams of Alliance; Mother-in-law, Mary Lee Thurmond of Alliance; two brothers-in-law Ronald A. Jones of Columbus, Ohio and Earl C. Thurmond Jr. of Alliance; a sister-in-law, Charlietha (Charlie) Thurmond of Alliance; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends!
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; twin grandsons, Torrence and Tristan Dailey; his father-in-law, Earl C. Thurmond Sr.; and his beloved aunt, Pecola Calloway.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1135 E. Jersey St. Services will be held, Friday, August 24, 2012, at 1 p.m. with viewing from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. also at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor W. Max Millender officiating.
Friends will be received at the family home. Also, Joseph's family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to all of those who were his caretakers during his illness. May God Bless you!
