Joseph Genetin

Joseph Genetin, age 77, of Alliance, died at 11:35 p.m. August 31, 2004 at Canterbury Village.
He was born August 27, 1927 in Amsterdam, Ohio to Manseulo and Christina (Davia) Genetin Brandani, and lived most of his life in the Alliance area.
Mr. Genetin graduated from Alliance High School and was the owner/operator of Genetin Gulf, located at the corner of 183 and 153, and Genetin and Walizer Shell in Mount Union for over forty years. He then retired from maintenance at Colfor in Salem in January, 2003.
Survivors include his wife Carol (Swanson) Genetin, two daughters Judee Genetin Burton Jones of Canton, and Lori Jo (Terry) Montgomery of Orwell, Ohio, one son Jayme Genetin of Ashtabula, Ohio, eleven grandchildren; Joseph and Victoria Genetin, Elle and Jon-Michael Durkin, Terra, Corey, Adam, Bryan, Brody, Sadie-Mae and Hannah-Lu Montgomery, three sisters Gerry Aellig of Alliance, Marlene Ely of Uniontown, and Barbara Lozier of Carpentria, CA, one brother Ernie Genetin of Dayton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Kay Stertzbach.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Susan Robinson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
