Joseph Malinowski, age 82, of Alliance, died at 8:44 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 20, 1928, in Alliance, Ohio, to Casimir and Hedwig "Jenny" (Stuffer) Malinowski.
He was a 1947 graduate of Alliance High School and retired after working as a shipping clerk at American Steel.
Joseph was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He enjoyed photography, painting, witnessing, old movies, and was an avid sports fan. He was a member of the Humane Society, the Animal Protection Society and had a great love of all animals.
Survivors include his daughters, Jeanette Rufo and Dorothy (Melvin) Young, both of Alliance; granddaughters, Amy Heacock and Melanie Smith, both of Alliance; grandsons, Mike Young of Cuyahoga Falls and Mark Young of Alliance; great-grandchildren, Milana Howard and Aaron Aebi; special friend, Diane Skoczinski; and son-in-law, Russell Heacock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose (Borrelli) Malinowski, who passed away in 1984 and his daughter, Rosalie Heacock.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday December 28, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Minister Mike Stovall officiating. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
