Joseph A Wright

Joseph A. Wright, age 60, of Homeworth, passed away on June 19, 2021.

He was born on January 15, 1961 in Clare County, MI to Wayne and Laurine (Edwards) Wright.

Joseph enjoyed working in the oil field for the majority of his life, most recently holding his dream job of Drilling Consultant for Chesapeake Energy. He was a member of First Brethren Church in North Georgetown and Homeworth Masonic Lodge #499. Joseph enjoyed woodworking and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; his wife, Elisabeth (Sweely) Wright whom he married on August 20, 1983; his children, Jacqueline (David) Moore, Teresa (Eric) Hoffmeyer and honorary daughter, Dottie (Charles) Beverly; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one sister; and four brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Leland.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24th at 7:00 p.m. with a visitation 3 hours prior.

The service will be live streamed on the funeral home’s website at the bottom of his obituary page.
