Josephine P. Vicars, age 92, passed away on February 17, 2025.
She was born on March 17, 1932, in Canton, to Angelo and Mae Orn (Snyder) Ross.
Josephine worked as an assembler at General Motors in Lordstown for 25 years until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 1112.
Josephine loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert (Verona) Vicars, Kenneth (Rose) Vicars, and Richard Vicars; daughter, Cathy (Gary) Turek; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great great great grandchildren; brothers, Angelo (Bea) Ross and Victor (Patricia) Ross; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max C. Vicars; son, Donald; two sisters; and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday February 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
