Josephine "Josie" Eleanor Todd

Josephine "Josie" Eleanor Todd, age 99, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022.

She was born December 21, 1922 in Alliance Ohio to Peter Godney and Mary (Knyz) Godney, and graduated in 1941 from Alliance High School.

Josephine was the best Mom in the whole wide world. She was so very kind to everyone and was an excellent example of unconditional love to all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty “B.J.” Hays, Bonita “Bonnie” Twaddle and Mary (Dave) Baker; 6 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Andrew and Frank Godney; sisters Anne Korosy and Mary Bair; husband Byron Howard Todd, whom she married May 31, 1947, and who died February 8, 1999; and her son, Peter C. Todd.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m. with her grandson-in-law David Albrecht officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
