Joyce F. Cathey

Joyce F. Cathey, age 75, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her home.
She was born January 17, 1943 in La Frank, West Virginia to Clarence E. and Ona Belle (Nutter) Taylor.
Joyce enjoyed golfing, going to yard sales, painting and crafting. She loved to bake, especially making wedding cakes for families.
She is survived by her children, Kim (Lynn) Brodzinski, Robert W. (Tanya) Cathey Jr., Daniel E. (Susan) Cathey and Ronald R. Cathey all of Alliance; seventeen grandchildren, Jon, Jen, Lindsay, Brittany, Matt, Brittany, Samantha, Lisa, Ashley, Justin, Patrick, Brooke, Paige, Amanda, Dalton, Sierra and Brittany; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Amiiah, Bo, Tate, Peyton and Brantley; siblings, James (Sadie) Taylor, Jerry (Sharon) Taylor and Betty Troglen all of Akron, Billy Taylor of Nebraska and Mike Taylor of Florida.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert W. Cathey who passed away January 19, 1996; son, Steven Lee Cathey; grandson, Robbie Cathey; brother, Bob Taylor; and sister, Sue Shreve.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd. Peninsula, Ohio 44264, on Friday, July 6, 2018. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
