Joyce A. (Rinaldi) Clapsaddle, age 80, of Alliance, passed away on her 80th birthday at 3:27 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015, at The Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 15, 1935, in Alliance, Ohio, to Anthony and Anna (Herman) Rinaldi and was a lifelong area resident.
Being a true matriarch of the family, Joyce was an amazing cook. She also enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, bowling, football and was a Cleveland Indians fan.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Clapsaddle, whom she married July 13, 1961; children, Cathy Rogers of Wilmington, North Carolina, Delores (John) Atwell of Alliance, Sue (Darryl) Gray of North Canton, Ronda (John) Stillwell of Louisville, Debra Fawver and Amy Clapsaddle (Garey Atwell), both of Alliance; grandchildren, Scott Rogers, Lisa Tartaglione, Heather Green, Johnny Atwell, Gina Snyder, Josh Stillwell, Shannon Atwell, Nikki Gray, Joe Gray, and Ian Fawver; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Pharoah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Sue, and brother, Albert.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James K. McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
