Joyce V. Stouffer, age 78, of Alliance, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 6, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Clifford and Wilma (Roecker) Stouffer and has resided in the Alliance area since 1950.
Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Alliance High School and a 1958 graduate of Mount Union College and attended Pittsburgh University and Robert Morris College.
A teacher at Alliance High School from 1972 to 1976, Joyce then worked for Columbia Ribbon and Carbon and retired in 1996 from Prudential Insurance.
She was active in the Republican Party and ran for a state office.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Stouffer of Alliance and grandson, Thomas Combs.
A private service will be held. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014. Interment will be at Marion Cemetery in Marion, Ohio.
