Joyce Ann (Grant) Mehl

Joyce Ann (Grant) Mehl, 80, of Alliance, passed away at Altercare of Alliance on August 31, 2019.

She was born in Alliance on October 9th, 1938, to Henry and Elizabeth (Marsh) Grant.

Joyce was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alliance, where she also taught Sunday School.  She was a member of the Portage County Chapter of the Ohio Horsemans Club, the Jokerettes Card Club and was a Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Mehl, whom she married on March 10th, 1957; children, Kathy (John) Milan of Alliance, Jim (Trudy) Mehl of Alliance, and Maribeth (Gary) Walker of Minerva;  grandchildren, Beth (Greg) Mueller, Jeremy Walker, Joshua (Anna) Walker, Anson (Christene) Walker, Austin (Jill) Mehl, and Emily Mehl; great-granchildren, Ally, Katy, Owen, Corine, Alan, Mehlody, Rosaly, Emily, Natilee, and Carson; sister, Barbara Jean Barrick of Sewickley, PA; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Molly.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Edythe Jayne Grant.

Per Joyce’s wishes a private family service will be held.
