Judith Ann Myers Evans

March 25, 1952 — November 11, 2018

"Little Judy", our beloved "Sista", Momma and Aunt passed on to glory, November 11, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the second oldest of six daughters, born to Eugene E. and Shirley R. (Wise/Wyss) Myers on March 25, 1952.
Born and raised in Alliance, her feisty, headstrong personality kept her parents and teachers on their toes.
Judy was a hard worker her entire life. Her teen years were spent working at the Canteen, Jupiters, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Arts Jewelers to support her desire for the latest fashions from Schwartz's or O'Neils.
She graduated from Alliance High School in 1970 and soon after, with hopes as high as her teased well-coiffed hair, she moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she worked for 11 years as an information telephone operator for the Southern Bell Telephone Company.
She returned to Alliance in 1980, met and married Larry E. Evans, and became a stepmom to Michelle and Harry. Although this union did not last, it did bless her with her only child, Amanda Marie Evans.
Supporting herself as a single mother, she became a dedicated waitress who loved her work and customers! She was a welcoming familiar face at various local restaurants like Eatin Haus, Friendly's Ice Cream, Don Panchos and lastly Bob Evans.
After her distinguished career in the food service industry ended, cooking and gardening became her passions. Her willingness to share both with family, friends, and neighbors only revealed what a big heart she had.
Judy was a 10-year survivor of cancer and fought the good fight, especially against the long term struggles with the effects of cancer treatment.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Julianne) Evans and step-daughter, Michelle Evans; sisters, Nancy (Joe) Ratliff, Janice (Dwight) Croley, Susan (Joseph) Mastroianni, Lisa Myers and Mary Guillermo; and nieces and nephews, Gerald (Clara) Edinger, Damaceno P. Guillermo, Roberto Guillermo, Sarah Croley, Antonio Guillermo and Terry Edinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Shirley (Wise/Wyss) Myers; baby brother, Robert E. Myers; step-son, Harry Evans; and her former husband, Larry E. Evans.
Cremation has taken place.
A time of remembrance in Judy's honor will take place Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with a Memorial service at 7 p.m., conducted by Rev. Marge Hazen of Denny and Marge Hazen Ministries.
