Judith E. Swift

Judith E. Swift, age 69, of Alliance, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio to Joseph Francis FitzGerald and Elsie Mae (Edwards) FitzGerald.
A 1966 graduate of Alliance High School, Judy attended Peabody College and Canton Actual Business College, and retired from Huntington Bank.
Judy was a member of Beechwood Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, Grand Cross of Color, Rainbow, volunteer at Washington Elementary School for more than ten years, and PTO Treasurer.
She served on the Stark Junior Fair Sheep and Swine Committee for 14 years, and Marching Dukes of Marlington Uniform Committee for 14 years and Band Booster Treasurer.
She will be loved and missed by her family, including her husband, Allan Swift, whom she married October 25, 1969; sons, David Allan (Tiffany) Swift, Jonathan Eric (Chelsea) Swift, and Michael Thomas (Pari) Swift; grandchildren, Colin Michael, Christopher Joseph, Jacob Russell, MacKenzie Grace, Nathan David, Abigail Mayne, and Paige Joyce; sisters, Jo Devan and Barb (Mark) Reay; brother-in-law, Dean (Leslie) Swift, sister-in-law, Beth Swift; many nieces, one nephew, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McHale officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, or Stark County Firefighters Memorial.
