Julius Hsing-Huei Huang 101, son of His-Yuen Huang and Yin-Sen Lee, af resident of Canton Christian Home in Canton, Ohio died Thursday January 27, at 11:50 a.m.
Mr. Huang was born September 3, 1903 in Siangtan, China, the oldest of three brothers and two sisters.
He was formerly of Youngstown, Ohio and moved to Canton to be near his daughter Alice. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton.
He graduated from the Boone University in Wuchang, China and Harvard University and University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Library Science, and Economics. Mr. Huang worked for the Youngstown Public Library for sixteen years, retiring in 1973. He was not able to stay retired for long, and took a job in Olathe, Kansas for five years at Mid-American Nazarene College of Kansas. He spent a total of 55 years as a Librarian.
He is survived by his daughter Alice (Norman D.) Stevens of Alliance, two grandsons, Corey J. (Dawn) Stevens of Uniontown, and Derek D. (Erin) Stevens of Louisville, and two great-grandsons, Sean and Justin Stevens.
Mr. Huang was preceded in death by his wife, Marie L. Huang.
A Memorial Service will be held at the chapel at Canton Christian Home on February 13th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Boardman.
