June Duchon

June Duchon, age 89, of Barberton, formerly of Alliance, passed away on February 1, 2022.

She was born on March 8, 1932 in Alliance to Harry R. and Mildred (Edwards) Stevens.

June graduated from Alliance High School in 1950. She was employed by the former Carnegie Library, B&W Research and was later a devoted stay at home mother. June was a former member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren. June loved being outdoors and walked 10 miles a day.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Vinessa) Duchon, Timothy Duchon, Nancy Drakulich and Susan Patalon; six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Katie, Hannah, Hope and Thomas; and a brother, Harry “Trevor” (Ann) Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cyril E. Duchon, whom she married June 10, 1955 and who passed July 5, 2001; and her sister, Lois Stevens.

A celebration of life will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on February 19th at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Nancy Castellucci, Celebrant with a visitation two hours prior.
