Karen A. Mathison, age 68, of Alliance, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born June 14, 1945 in Alliance, Ohio to Edward and Ona (Wood) Campbell.
Karen was a member of
First Immanuel United Church of Christ; she loved scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her family, including her husband Victor Mathison, whom she married Dec. 12, 1967; daughter, Alisa Mathison of Alliance; son, Eric (Christieann) Mathison, of Boiling Springs, SC; six grandchildren; and one brother, Lowell (Christine) Campbell, of Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ross, Donald and James Anson; and sisters, Pauline, Patricia, Sarah Mae, and Dixie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Cassaday- Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service
