Karen D. Miller

Karen D. Miller, age 68, of Alliance, passed away at 1:39 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Aultman Hospital.
She was born in Alliance, April 8, 1947, to Henry and Dena (Wise) Theis. A 1965 graduate of Alliance High School, Karen was self-employed as a tax preparer and had previously worked at Babcock and Wilcox Research.
Karen was a member of the Ohio Greyhound Gathering and Adoption Club, Rainbow Therapy Dogs and the National 600 Bowling Club.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Miller of Alliance; daughter, Michelle Miller of Alliance; brothers, Robert "Bob" (Greta Bo) Bennett of Morehead, Kentucky and Harold "Ben" (Judy) Bennett of Chesapeake, Virginia; nephews, Mark (Karen) Whitaker of Alliance, Robert (Nancy) Whitaker of Greenville, North Carolina and Jack (Charlene) Whitaker of Spanaway, Washington; and cousin, Shirley Welsh of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maxine Whitaker; and brother, Erwin L. Reynolds.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Don Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens in Canton.
