Karen L. Quick, age 82, passed away at Aultman Alliance Hospital October 15, 2022.
She was born on October 15, 1940, in Alliance, to Harold William Lampe and Catherine Irene (Bainter) Lampe.
A graduate of Alliance High School, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Union College. She taught third grade and adult education. Karen was a member of the State Teachers Association, Alliance Teacher Association and the Elks. She attended Regina Coeli.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christina (Bill) Hahn, Jerilyn (Zach) Pemberton, Suzanne Quick; grandchildren, Brittney (Mike) McDougal, Jared (Tiffany) Grimes, Brayden Quick, Haylee Grimes, Falynn Quick, Courtney Hahn, Kaleb Kazleman and Lauren Hahn; sisters, Barbara S. (John) Madsen, Karol Lampe, and Donna J. (Kevin) Kennedy; brother, Robert J. Lampe; nieces and nephews, Robert J. Lampe Jr., Robyn Pencek, Leesa Madsen, Jack Madsen, Jody Madsen, Lori Randles and Megan Kennedy; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Quick, whom she married June 27, 1964 and who passed September 30, 1992; her daughter, Mary C. Grimes; her mother-in-law, Evelyn (Quick) Everett; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Simons) Lampe.
Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, October 20th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday October 21st from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. David Weikart officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
