Kathryn Adams

Kathryn Adams age 89 of Greenwood Mississippi and formerly of Alliance, died at Greenwood Leflore Hospital on February 24, 2004.
Mrs. Adams was a native of Cleveland and grew up in Canton, before moving to Alliance where she married her late husband, John Adams. She lived in Alliance for 67 years before moving to Greenwood in April 2003.
Mrs. Adams was a member for 50 years at First United Presbyterian Church, and member of the Sister's Support Group. She was previously employed by Alliance Manufacturing Company for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carol Adams Becker of Greenwood, Miss., one son, Ronald Adams of Germantown Tenn., two sisters, Irene Zakikian of Clinton, Oh, and Margaret Mavrich of North Canton, Oh, and two grandchildren, Julie and Susan Becker of Memphis, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Kate (Rate) Birtalan, her husband John, and a son Robert Adams.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. William Sadler officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
