Kathryn S Dykshoorn

Kathryn S. Dykshoorn, age 54 of Alliance, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 23, 2017.
She was born April 20, 1962 in Salem, Ohio to Fred and Patricia (Thrash) Camp.
Kathy graduated from United Local High School in 1980 and attended Evangel College in Springfied, Missouri. She was formerly employed by Pizza Hut and Stambaughs and in 1984 she began working as a librarian at Babcock and Wilcox Research Center in Alliance where she met her husband, Paul. After her marriage in 1988 Kathy left work to be a stay at home mom. In addition to being a pastors wife, she home schooled her three children. In 2007 she returned to work as the client services manager of the Alliance Pregnancy Center for eight years.
She was a member of Alliance Christian Center. Kathy loved going on bike rides with her family as well as camping and vacationing on the beach. Kathy's courage and laughter are well remembered by her friends and family. She encouraged countless people by her positive attitude in the face of having cancer. Her two grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Kathy will be loved and missed by her family, which includes her husband, Paul Dykshoorn, whom she married May 21, 1988, her children, Nathan Dykshoorn, Bethany (Jacob) Davis, and Ryan Dykshoorn, all of Alliance; her parents, Fred and Patricia Camp; her sister, Janet Camp of Hanoverton, and her brother, John Camp, of Rogers.
Kathy's family will receive friends Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W Main St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
