Kathryn Thelma "Kay" (Best) Grewe, age 85, formerly of Alliance, passed away at 7:40 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Emeritus at Canton.
She was born November 18, 1927, in Alliance, to McClellan and Elizabeth (Tullis) Best.
Survivors include her daughter, Shannon (Steve Partington) Goldrick, of North Port, Florida; two sons, Christopher R. Grewe, Sr. and Scott P. (Brenda) Grewe; grandson, Christopher Grewe, Jr.; two granddaughters, Scotti Patricia Kidwell, and Mikalena T. Grewe and a sister, Barbara (Bob) Santschi of Alliance.
Mrs. Grewe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, August "Pete" Grewe, Jr, whom she married February 14, 1947 and who died December 14, 2001; brother, McClellan Best, Jr., and a sister, Betty Weigand.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Courtney's Banquet Center, 295 E. State St., Alliance, OH 44601.
