Kathryn D. Robinson, age 82 of Fredericksburg, and formerly of Alliance, died at 12:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006.
She was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Alliance, Ohio to Morris and Mamie (Markel) Betz and lived most of her life in the Alliance area.
Mrs. Robinson graduated from Minerva High School in 1941 and was a self-employed beautician, owning the former Kathryn's Beauty Salon until 1979.
She was a member of the Freeburg Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include, one son, Keith A. Unkefer of Port Clinton, Ohio; three grandchildren; Shane Unkefer and wife Stacy of Fredricksburg, Thad Unkefer and wife Stephanie of Smithville, and Tabitha (Canfora) Unkefer and husband Patrick of Barberton, three step-grandchildren, Justin and Tiffany King of Minerva, Michelle King of Louisville, Tanya Burke (King) and husband Kelley of Salem; and 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Unkefer of Louisville, Jeanette Unkefer of Alliance, Martha Steinmetz of Minerva, Winifred Stryffeler of Malvern, and brothers, Dwight A. Betz of Minerva and Elwood H. Betz of Minerva.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, her first husband, Paul Unkefer of Freeburg, who died in 1975, her second husband, Louis L. Robinson of Alliance, who died Sept. 23, 2003, one step daughter Janice King and one great grandson.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday January 23, 2006 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m.
