Kathryn D. "Katie" White, age 84 of Alliance died at 1:58 a.m. September 26, 2003 at Salem Community Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to Lawrence R. and Pearl (Zopf) Hutchins. Katie lived in Akron, Kenmore, Mogadore, Alliance and Sebring. She graduated from Kenmore High School in 1939, and worked at B.F. Goodrich during World War II. She also worked at the Akron-Summit County Public Library in technical processing for 15 years, retiring in 1984.
Katie moved to Alliance in 1985, and volunteered for 27,927 hours at Alliance Community Hospital in medical records.
She is survived by one son, Mack White, of Denver Co., one daughter Irene and Dave Gobeli, of Sebring, Oh, and one grandson Shawn Stephens and his fianc?e Julie McMichael of Alliance, one great grandson and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eugene F. White in 1979.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Marty CashBurless officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Mogadore Cemetery.
