Kay F. Sheatsley

Kay F. (Stevens) Sheatsley, age 81, of Alliance, passed away at 9:24 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
She was born February 24, 1934, in Alliance, Ohio, to Arthur and June L. (Schaffer) Stevens and has been a lifelong Alliance resident.
Kay, a 1951 graduate who served as class president of Alliance High School, had been employed as a senior citizen coordinator and was very active at College Plaza Bowling Center since 1977.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, treasurer of Club 55 and donated much of her time to the construction committee and design of the church. She also was a member of the BPO Elks Auxiliary and the Alliance Senior Citizen's Center.
Survivors include her daughter Pam (Robert) Grant of Fort Worth, TX; two grandsons; sister, Ann Stevens of Daley City, California; and three half-brothers, all of Daley City, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale R. Sheatsley, whom she married September 9, 1955 and who died July 21, 1989; and a daughter, Kimberly K. Sheatsley who died in 1978.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 3295 S. Union Ave, with The Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
