Keith A. Umberger

Keith A. Umberger, age 73, of Alliance, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Altercare of Hartville.
He was born March 20, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, to Roy and Marguerite (Moledor) Umberger.
A 1961 graduate of Marlington High School, Keith also attended Ohio University. He was employed as a supervisor with Monarch Rubber Company in Hartville for 29 years until his retirement and later by Congress Lake Golf Course for 15 years.
Keith was a member of the Ohio National Guard Reserves. He enjoyed golfing, flea markets and was a fan of all sports, having been an outstanding athlete at all sports in high school. He also trained standard-bred horses.
Survivors include his brothers, Larry (Sophie) Umberger of North Canton and William (Carol) Umberger of Alliance; step-daughter, Julie Hofius (Shawn) Mills of Columbus; step-son, Chad Sirilla of Canton and step-daughter, Elizabeth Stutler of Carrollton; and a special aunt, Betty Umberger Devies of Canton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Umberger; and his longtime mate, Diana.
At the wishes of Keith, a private family service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Carter of Marlboro Christian Church officiating. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
