Kenneth R. Burnham, age 80, of Minerva, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born January 28, 1931, in Barberton to Everald and Ida L. (Yanley) Burnham.
A 1949 graduate of Alliance High School, Kenneth also attended Kent State University, Salem Branch. He was employed by Morgan Engineering for 32 years and retired as chief estimator.
Kenneth was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the American Legion Post 166 in Alliance. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and fishing and boating at Atwood Lake. He was a very kind and gentle man.
He was a United States Marine Corp. Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ann M. (Castellucci) Burnham, whom he married January 23, 1951; daughter, Cathy (Jim) Mick, Jr.; three grandchildren, Erika (Karl) Gadow of N. Canton, Erin K. (Michael) Merker of Wickliff and Christopher (Sylvia) Burnham of Brampton, Ontario, Canada; a brother, Paul (Marjorie) Burnham of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Burnham and Kenneth Paul Burnham; two brothers, Harold and Donald Burnham; and a sister, Marjorie Cornuet.
Private Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Victor Cinson of St. Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
