Kent W. Henderson

Kent W. Henderson, age 71, of Minerva, went to be with the Lord at 12:56 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at his home.
He was born October 23, 1944, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to William Norman and Iva Melinda (Geiger) Henderson.
Kent had a bachelor's degree in business from Youngstown State University and worked as a teacher and had a long career in sales.
He was a member of First Christian Church where he served as a deacon, trustee and board member. He delivered books to the homebound and Meals on Wheels.
Kent enjoyed woodworking, caring for his lawn and especially time he spent with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Karen (Springer) Henderson, whom he married December 17, 1966; daughter, Kelsey (Adam) Nagy of Canton; son, Tyler (Laura) Henderson of Indianapolis; grandchildren, William, Luke, and Aanika; and brother, Keith (Susan) Henderson of Westminster, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at First Christian Church with Pastor Aaron Phillips and Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday June 6, 2016 and one hour prior to the service, at the church.
